KELLER, Joseph Marion

Covington—Joseph Marion Keller, 82, Covington, died at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 1989 in Covington Manor Health Care Center.
  He was born Feb. 18, 1902 in Millcreek Township, Fountain County, the son of Clarence and Orpha Belle Brewer Keller. He was married to Gladys Mae Abernathy, who preceded him in death Aug. 2, 1988.

  He grew up in Wabash Township and attended school at Steam Corner. He farmed until 1936 when he began working at Coffing Brothers Orchard, south of Covington, then moved to Covington where he owned and operated Keller’s Orchard for 32 years.
  He was a member of First Church of Christ, Covington, and Builders Sunday school class.

  Surviving are a brother, Carl L., Bloomingdale; and two grandsons, Philip Robert Yuochunas, Tampa, Fla., who was reared in the home after the death of his daughter in 1970, and George Yuochunas, Lafayette, and a great granddaughter, Leslie Ann Yuochunas, Lafayette. He was also preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother and a sister.

  Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Paul Kent and Robert Hentrich officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington. – thanks to s
